Regarding forgotten sins

I know we are obliged to confess forgotten sins if we remember them, but would you need to go to confession solely for forgotten sins or would you wait for the next time you sin mortally to confess the forgotten sins aswell as the new one

You’re only obliged to confess forgotten sins the next time you go to confession whenever that may be. Ideally, it’s best to go to confession frequently as it’s harder to forget the sins we’ve done over the space of a week or two. I should also mention you don’t have to wait till you commit a mortal sin to go to confession. I have a good friend from Malaysia who told me she comes out of confession, remembers sins she forgot to mention and goes back into the confessional because she wants to get rid of the baggage.

But can I receive the communion when i have gone to confession but forgot a sin. Then after the confession I remembered it but then I havent confessed it yet ?

Yes.

Baltimore Catechism

Q 191 … When you have, told all your sins, you will say: “For these and all the sins of my whole life, especially any I have forgotten, I am heartily sorry, and ask pardon and penance!’ Listen to the priest’s advice, and answer simply any question he may ask you. If you should forget a mortal sin in confession and remember it the same day or evening, or while you are still in the church, it will not be necessary to wait and go to confession again. It is forgiven already, because it was included in your forgotten sins; but you must tell it the next time you go to confession, saying before your regular confession: In my last confession I forgot this sin. Of course if you tried to forget your sins your confession would be invalid. It is only when you examine your conscience with all reasonable care, and then after all forget some sins, that such forgotten sins are forgiven.

Can you still go to Heaven with forgotten mortal sins?

If you have genuinely forgotten a sin then just say “and I am sorry for ALL my sins” and you are good. The Lord sees the heart. He knows you are repentant. I don’t think the Lord is going to worry about a genuinely forgotten sin. We’re human and memory is fallible. Be at peace.

Yes, if you have received absolution (or perfect act of contrition) after you committed them. (That is to say, be in a state of sanctifying grace at death.)
