Not in South Africa. Ask an educated SAfrican like myself about your presidential policies and I couldn’t tell you much. Similarly for Tony Blair. And this is in an age of new media. I see talk about your president all the time… and I ignore it, as do most SAfricans I assume. Seriously, nobody pays attention. Do you know much about our president?

Sigh. Jesus is God. He can do anything He wants. God is not bound by the sacraments, we are.

Jesus is God, and his life was an example of what we should strive to do, Jesus was merciful, forgiving loving and did not judge Judas when he offered his body and blood.
Yet we seem to judge Brother Roger Shultz in a different way, we overlook mercy, forgiveness and love, I am not sure how any one could compare Brother Roger to Judas. I have read a little about Brother Roger, and he seems to have dedicated his life to God and his neighbours.

Yes. I haven’t argued otherwise. But - we are not allowed to have communion in a state of mortal sin. IT is not mercy to give someone the Eucharist if they are in mortal sin, because that would be sacrilege and would further damn them. I think you’re confusing and twisting Jesus message and authority to try and make room for a heretical belief. The Church says that you must not receive communion in a state of mortal sin. That is that. Furthermore it is the teaching of the Church that one must be Catholic to receive communion unless in extreme circumstance.

The example give of Bill Clinton was that he was in a country in Africa, it is not a given that a priest would know who he is.

Tony Blair was a special case and received communion at the pope’s private Mass. I believe that he actually converted to Catholicism there but could not do so publicly because of the office he held. After he was out from the PM office he did convert privately with the bishop in England.

It is not for us to decide who is worthy of reception.

Again I ask you, if the priest does not know you should he refuse you?
