Akathist to the Holy Great Martyr George is available in the Orthodox book: Book of Akathists: To Our Saviour, the Mother of God, and Various Saints, Holy Trinity Monastery, 1994, ISBN: 0‒88465‒059‒6

Thanks for your replies, does anyone know where to venerate the Icon? And is there a free copy of the Akathist? Sadly, I don’t have the finances to buy the book.

Thank you all! What a beautifal Akathist. Please post anymore info or devotions to this Holy Saint. I was wondering where on an Icon of Saint George would you actually kiss?

St. George is the patron of the great city of L’viv, Ukraine and the main Ukrainian Greek Catholic cathedral there is dedicated to the Trophy-bearer.

There is nothing to prevent you from venerating the copy of any wonder-working icon; in fact some copies have also later become miraculous themselves. This is my particular favorite, from Western Ukraine:

I found a nice panorama of the exterior of that grand edifice. It may be recent, I see snow in the image here …

I would love to see the interior.
