Hi, ok so how do I get her out of these bad practices? Should I take time and pray a rosary everynight for her? Also, is it possible that the church of the nazarine has some radical ideas about God and Christ that may have somehow actually pushed her away from Christianity? I will eventually be able to talk to a priest, as I am working with the NFB president to get to Colorado hopefully in a month or less, I’ll be there. Oh and is it possible that her parents attitude towards Christianity is pretty much a fundamentalist one. When I approached them one time about confession and tried to explain it to them they did not get it…maybe I explained it wrong…But they said something like “why tell your sins to a priest -or some person- when he isn’t God?” Since I didn’t have a sufficient answer at the time and did not know where to look I left the subject drop. Also like many young people before we were married well we met in college and did things we probably should not have done and her parents response was pretty much just saying well “the bible says this or that”. I think the various people who appear on EWTN are in a much better position to explin matters of dating and things than her parents are. Also there are other things going on at their house problems they have–it appears to me her family at least there is a partially disfunctional one–so we really don’t associate with them at all since they have many problems.

I knew a woman who converted into Catholicism. She thought she could practice both reiki and be a Christian.
In the end she was so bound up in spiritism - communicating with different “masters” from the other side - that she thought she knew better than the whole Church combined and she soon fell away from (the real) Christ. She never comes to mass anymore and I think today she still practices these things …
I’d say: run away from this as fast as you can. The new age spirit is one of the most subtle evils that are infiltrating the Church today… especially in Europe…
I’d strongly recommend you and your wife read paragraph 2116 in the Catechism and the sorrounding passages too.
We know that idolatry in any shape or form was condemned by the first Christians. Placing your hope and trust in unchristian methods and forces is extremely dangerous.
I have heard many testimonies about people who were bound by evil spirits - I heard an eye witness testimony about a woman who could walk aross a river in the air and a man who was possessed who ran as fast as a lion next to a missionary’s car… I was told about people who lost a fortune over night because they accepted Christ as their Lord and told the spirits they had been bound by to dissapear in His name… These evil spirits were providing worldly riches, health and powers to people for a time, but they also robbed their souls and left them in utmost darkness removed from Christ until they broke down mentally and physically. I have seen a few people while they were being set free after they had been playing around with new age, TM, healing etc…
and exorcisms are very scary but helpful to see as a warning.
You can not deal with spiritual forces, control them and expect them to stay outside of you … they WILL end up dominating you.
Christ is the only Truth. Fix your eyes solely on Him.
Peace be with you and your wife.
