**Thanks be to God! My Catholic friend, Linda, after 1 1/2 years of being on drugs, living on the streets, prostituting herself for drug money has come back!!! YEAH!!! **
It’s like the Prodical Son! She’s getting herself healthy!
Thank you Jesus!
**Last night was the first time in forever that she attended Mass. I went with her, it was a Pro-Life Mass. Afterwards, she made her Confession to the priest who is an alcoholic so he was a great person for her to go to since he can completely understand addiction as he has personal experience.

Linda has been sober now for nearly a week. She is now 52 years old and will have a huge up hill battle to get her life back, so prayers are still greatly needed!**

Her immediate needs are (not in any particular order):
  1. Get a job
  2. Handle her arrest warrant
  3. Get custody of her 13 year old daughter back
  4. Get a home, furniture, clothing, etc.
  5. Find a great out patient rehab program
  6. Find and begin attending AA & NA meetings
  7. Pay off her more then 30k in debt (credit cards & school loans)
  8. Get her neck (broken bone in there) fixed
  9. Get her ankle fixed (metal rod coming loose)
  10. Get her teeth fixed - missing/damaged by the drugs
  11. Get a replacement Driver’s License - it went missing
  12. Start going to Mass/Confession regularly
**Anyone who reads this, please just rejoice with me and thank God keeping her safe during this last year and 1/2 and for protecting her from the inreversable effects of the drugs and for not allowing the drugs to win!

Linda has come soooo far by getting sober and by going to Confession! Granted she has a long way to go to get her life back, but God Willing, she will! God has granted her the power to overcome!

Thanks be to God! REJOICE!**

Hi everyone!

Thanks for your prayers! Please continue.

I posted this at 12:02 on 11/14/07. At 9:15 pm that same evening I received a call from her daughter-in-law who told me that she never came home after her meeting. She’s been missing ever since. Off on drugs again - less than 24 hours after her Confession.

I’m going to attempt to attach a picture of her modeling the some of the clothes I was able to give her that evening 11/13/07 the first time I’d seen her in a year and a half.

Our talks that evening included - catching up, spiritual warfare, battling thoughts planted by the evil one, hope, victory - the fact the drugs haven’t destroyed her she still has her mind, memories, hopes, dreams, intelligence, etc.; about how to take one thing at a time as far as everything she needs to do to get back on her feet, etc.

She was on fire about her recovery - so excited and hopeful!

Please continue praying for her!

Thank you,
Marina
