BoomBoomMancini:
you shouldn’t beat yourself up this way
Very nice post. 🤣

Lol, you guys got jokes. 😄

You’re being a much too hard on yourself. I would encourage you to reflect upon you own goodness and upon God’s love for you, despite the sin. Indeed, realizing that you are still a good person and loved by God may help breaks the cycle of repeated sins. For the darkness of sin becomes powerless before the light of God’s love.

Remember that Jesus did not love sinners because they had changed. They changed because he loved them. He sought them out in the midst of their sinning and His love transformed them.

You might consider making a reflection on God’s love for you your examination prior to going to Confession. For that Sacrament is a celebration of God’s love for sinners. But so many, sadly, think it’s only about getting rid of sin and avoiding God’s vengeance.

Thank you, friend.

Go to Confession and simply start over again, clean slate.

Also, know you are not alone. I too struggle with this, and I’m 41.

There are TONS of temptations out there, esp on the internet.

Make a good act of contrition and start again, just like I do.

God Bless

Sorry to be blunt, but your view of God is unhealthy and even archaic.

Catholic Christians are not pagans. We do not view God as a “god” somewhere out there in the Universe — as just another being who is just better and stronger and more knowledgeable than us humans. We don’t appease him by being morally perfect, and we don’t anger him by being sinful.

No, he is Being itself. He is Goodness itself. No sin — nothing you can do — will alter God’s emotional state, or his state of perfect self-giving love and infinite mercy. God is utterly simple and cannot be changed at a whim.

Good philosophy is not just good for the mind but for the heart. Know that God cannot do anything BUT love you. God still loves you. He chose to manifest this perfect love by becoming one of us.

Don’t fall deep into shame and self pity. Humans are animals as well as rational. We are prone to sexual impulse, and sexual impulse in itself is not wrong! It is good. However, it can become disordered, and led astray – even through weakness. God knows this.

Just pray, and God will forgive you. No need to beg. Confession is there as an open door for anyone who is ready.
