Relating to the Holy Spirit

Something I’m confused about: How do I relate to the Holy Spirit? Do I just cultivate poverty of spirit and listen for the Holy Spirit and abide in it?
 
The Holy Spirit is the love of the father and the son. You just have to open your heart and pray to receive it, and it will sanctify your soul through the gift of grace.
 
Yeah pray to the Holy Spirit as youd pray to the Father and son. I always pray to the Holy Spirit to guide me on my choices and also invoke his power to appease the hearts of those who are against me and enlighten the hearts of those who can favor me.It never failed.
 
The Holy Spirit guides us in helping others…sometimes even strangers. I’ve had complete strangers open up to me about their troubles in life. I think the Holy Spirit influences those encounters.
