Here is some background information: This guy I like and I two weekends ago ended up holding hands on the way back from a trip (to see the pope in NYC!). This past weekend when I ran into him he was smiling and seemed happy to see me. I’m going to be seeing him (more likely than not) this Sunday night at Mass (and probably a bit of a going away “party” for my priest who is leaving afterwards). This Sunday will be the last weekend I see him until fall semester seeing as how we live about 7 hours apart so I’d like some advice. I have him on facebook and I’m wondering how I should go about keeping in touch with him. I want to give him space or whatever but I’d like to check in on him sometime over the summer. Also I’m going to be a counciler at a Catholic summer camp for a good chunk of my vacation so should I ask for his mailing address or something seeing as how I’m not going to have much access to the internet? I don’t feel comfortable giving him my camp address and asking him to write to me because if he didn’t I’d be crushed. I’m just not sure if he would initiate any communication seeing as how we are more or less only casual friends. I’d like to develop our friendship but I don’t want to push him away by being clingy or anything. Also, should I be worried at this point if he doesn’t take an initiative to communicate with me? He’s a really sweet and cute Catholic fella and I don’t want to blow it. Help?

Let’s pray about this. I’m going to pray to the Holy Spirit to guide you in this situation. Keep us posted if anything comes up! God bless you.

P.S. Some things can’t be rushed.👍

Putting it in the Lords’ hands, is the best thing, I’m sure things will flow as natural as they should. I’ve been married almost 13 years now, and to this day putting things in the Lords’ hands and lettting them flow in a natural way works:D .

Saint Michael the Archangel guide her…

As a rule, guys like to pursue rather than be pursued. If I were in your situation, I would make a few little business-type cards with your camp address on it. I’d give him one in a real casual manner (making sure that he sees that you have several cards so it doesn’t look like you made them up especially for him), and say something like, “Hey, I’m going to be at camp most of the summer and away from my computer. Here’s my address – drop me a postcard if you feel like it.” Better yet, when you are at this party on Sunday, hand out your address cards to several people while he is standing there – that way it will look even more casual…and who knows, you might wind up with some new pen-pals. 🙂 And then leave it in the Lord’s hands, and let your guy-friend take it from there. Some guys aren’t much on writing notes and cards, so don’t take it as a rejection if he doesn’t send you anything. But who knows, you might be pleasantly surprised. I wouldn’t ask him for his address, though; that might make him uncomfortable since you two aren’t really dating yet. :twocents: Good luck and God bless – and have fun at camp! 👍

The simple way is to be open and honest . I would tell him that you think he’s a good guy and that you’d like to keep in touch . You can suggest exchanging email addresses . SOME GUYS ARE SHY , SO THIS WOULD BE A GOOD WAY . LORD SHANA NEEDS YOU TO GUIDE HER AND THIS GENTLEMAN IN THEIR FRIENDSHIP - RELATIONSHIP . Lord give Shana the wisdom and understanding on how to act and be with this person . Lord let your will be done in this friendship- relationship . thanks Lord, in the name of Jesus, amen . Have a blessed day Shana , John

Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name.
Thy Kingdom come,
thy will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
Amen

Whatever you do, if you wish to engage in the magic of making up, do not speak poorly of your ex. In the first few days especially, you will find that it is very tempting to do just this. When you are looking for a way to make sure that you can get the right avenue you need to come in contact with them, you will find that nothing will block your way faster than talking badly of them. Take some time and really consider what you are saying. You may have friends who are on your side who might encourage this, but politely decline. Talk about how much you miss them and how great they were. With any luck, you will find that this gets back to them.

Aww. How nice of you.

Well, what I can say is that holding hands is not something friends normally do, although sometimes they do, if things get emotional. It’s a clue that something’s going on, but it doesn’t definitely say the interest is strong enough to pursue or even that it’s more than friendly. I wouldn’t push it if I were you, but make sure he gets feedback and he knows you are receptive or even actively interested. It doesn’t have to be anything too definite, just somewhat of a clue.

There’s a pretty easy process you can use to get your ex back…people behave in certain ways so closely that there’s almost a science to it, and performing certain actions can be almost guaranteed to achieve specific results. Simply put, people just work a certain way…and you can use that to close the gaps between you and the one you love, and get your life back on track with him or her.The Magic of Making Up is just one of a great many books out there designed to help you get your ex back
