Is it just me, or does there seem to be a rediculous amount of Christians (not just Catholics) that play the “I wouldn’t do x myself” or “X isnt that bad, look at how bad Y is” cards? Either is unacceptable. No wonder the secular world laughs at Christians. As a group we don’t stand for anything anymore. We refuse to take a stand for righteousness, we dont speak boldly in defense of the faith. What is it going to take to get us back on track? What is it going to take, that if not as a nation, then as a faith tradition, for us to seek God’s face? I am calling n every person of failth who reads this post to put not only your political leaders, but also church leeaders, friends, family members, into your prayers. Pray that they have the strenght to rise up and say “No more!” 85% of americans are nominally Christian. if even 10% of those people would seek God’s face in prayer daily, what changes could be wrought. Looking to St, Thomas More as our guide, we must stand firm against wickedness, even when it isn’t the popular thing to do.
