"The angel [Raphael] called the two of them [Tobit and his son] privately and said to them: *"Praise God and give thanks to him; exalt him and give thanks to him in the presence of all the living for what he has done for you. It is good to praise God and to exalt his name, worthily declaring the works of God. Do not be slow to give him thanks. Thank you very much for sharing with us such beautiful prayers and pictures. A few years ago I sent the angels assigned to me by Our Good God to visit, help, comfort each and every soul that ever will exist until the end of time & to return once their mission is accomplished. So, I got to say that will definitely take a LONG time before they can come back but definitely a decision I will not regret because it will benefit all. Just thinking about what they are doing brings joy to my heart.

Beautiful Inspiration! Yes, our Guardian Angels are not bound by our earthly laws of time. With God’s permission they may go anywhere in time. 👍

I once was inspired while praying the first Sorrowful Mystery to beg my Angel,* with the Father’s permission*, to go back in time to the Garden of Gethsemany and console Our Lord at the very moment that He was suffering his agony.
I believe that the Heavenly Father would not be opposed to this. And what Angel would refuse such a request?! 🙂

“Why do you stand looking into the sky? This Jesus, who has been taken up from you into heaven, will come in just the same way as you have watched Him go into heaven.” (Acts 1: 11)

Heavenly Father, please *release the Holy Angels *who have helped to guide the Church from the time of the Ascension, Please permit them to come to our assistance. May they fight to protect your Church so the Gates of Hell will never prevail against it.

Release your Angels! so that under the leadership of the Guardian Angel of the Holy Father, they may lead the fight against those forces of fallen angels who make constant attempts for the Gates of Hell to prevail against the Church that you once entrusted to Peter and to his successors. Our Lady of the Angels of the Portiuncula

**Today (August 2nd) is the feast of Our Lady of the Angels of the Portiuncula, the Virgin under whose mantle Saint Francis of Assisi was wrapped; Mary’s maternal protection made it possible for blessed Francis to experience an intentse Presence of the Lord and to receive his vocation to rebuild the Church. The Portiuncula is also the place where Francis knew first hand the experience of being sustained by the Angels. Likewise his intimate devotion to the Blessed Mother, under whose protection did he place himself to do the Lord’s work did this place become holy for the members of the Franciscan family and for the Church universal. As a place of pilgrimage, the holy Portiuncula is a poignant reminder of how important the encounter with Christ was for Saint Francis and how much the encounter ought to be pivotal for us today. Without meeting Christ, little makes sense. Saint Bonaventure had this to say about this devotion:

The Portiuncula was an old church dedicated to the Virgin Mother of God which was abandoned. Francis had great devotion to the Queen of the world and when he saw that the church was deserted, he began to live there constantly in order to repair it. He heard that the Angels often visited it, so that it was called Saint Mary of the Angels, and he decided to stay there permanently out of reverence for the angels and love for the Mother of Christ. This is also the place where St Clare took her vows and where Saint Francis died.**

Spiritual Warfare

An incident in the life of Fr. Louis Edward Cestac, the saintly founder of the Servants of Mary. Appearing on January 13, 1864 to the privileged soul of Fr. Louis Cestac, Our Lady favored him with a vision of devils swarming over the earth wreaking havoc. The time had come, she said, to implore her as Queen of Angels to dispatch legions from heaven to overthrow the powers of hell which had now been unchained.

Inquiring why help from Heaven would not be sent without asking for it, Fr. Cestac was told that *prayer is the indispensable condition *for receiving grace. Our Lady appeared to him one day, saying that the faithful should implore her to send the holy angels to our aid.

He objected that her personal intercession must certainly be sufficient to obtain this favor from God. Whereupon the Blessed Mother returned: "Prayer is a condition willed by God, and the more insistently and the more often petitions are made, the more powerfully would I come with the Holy Angels. I will come to the aid of the Church with a whole legion of angels to save it."

Beseeching her to teach him how to pray for this intention, he received the following prayer at her dictation. When he submitted it to his Bishop in Bayonne for approval, it was given an Imprimatur forthwith. Recommended to the faithful by Pope Pius IX, it was later indulgenced by Leo XIII and by St. Pius X:

MIRACULOUS PRAYER
