Muslims do not accept the legitimacy or reliability of the Christian scriptures. Christians do not accept the Qu’ran to be reliable as revelation. So how can Christians and Muslims reasonably discuss religion? How could a Christian demonstrate the reliability of Christian scripture? And how could a Muslim demonstrate the reliability of Muslim scripture? Documents, after all, do not authenticate themselves.

Intersting question . Personally i dont have the answer. Because at least in My faith the christians totally discredit our book while we Muslims believe that God has revealed the Gospel To Jesus teh Messiah Prophet of God . We however could not substantiate which verses are included by Humans and which are the words of Jesus and which are the word of God .

Peace

I did look through that other thread. Thanks.

Ultimately, though, I think it comes down to this. A Muslim has faith in the Qu’ran not by reason of the book itself, but because they have Faith in Muhammed, since he is the only one who can guarantee its accuracy.

Christians have Faith in the Bible not by reason of the book itself but because they have Faith in the Catholic Church which alone can guarantee its accuracy. This really amounts to a Faith in the Church as having handed down what was received from Jesus.
