I wasn’t sure which section to put this is, so if it’s in the wrong one please move it.

I was wondering if anyone knew where to find a third class relic of Saint pope Pius V?

Uhm… is it not simony to sell or buy on eBay the relics of a saint, regardless of class? Or is this exploiting some loophole like “you’re only paying for the reliquary and not its contents!”

It’s a sin to sell and purchase relics as far as I am aware

Oh dang. Did not know that.

So does that mean that it’s a sin to buy those prayer cards that have 3rd class relics in them?

Yes it is. Technically if it is a prayer card with a relic the price can’t be higher just because it has a relic but you get the relic free with the payed for prayer card. Just don’t buy from ebay since there is no proof that they are legitimate.

Also, NorthTexan, where from North Texas are you from? I’m from a city to the northeast of Dallas.

God bless!

Ok great, thanks!

Denton, I go to school at North Texas

Oh okay! I’m just in Plano. Now it makes sense that your name is NorthTexan not just because you’re from North Texas. Lol.

God bless!

Some people will say its only forbidden to sell 1st and 2nd class relics but that is not correct. Canon Law does not differentiate. All relics are forbidden to be sold.

Can. 1190 §1 It is absolutely wrong to sell sacred relics.
