Relic Translation Needed. Ex tela qua involumtum fuit Corpus

We recently attended an Estate sale of a deceased priest and as part of a large general purchase obtained a couple of personal items of his. One item is a wrapped relic which states on the back: Ex tela qua involutum fuit Corpus. Could anyone translate this for me. Thank you.

I have no idea. It is a sealed piece of paper about the size of a piece of gum (slightly smaller) that states of one side : Ex tela qua involutum fuit Corpus. Bti Roberti Card. bellarmino e Soc. Jesu.

The other side has a sticker sealing the folded paper that states : Postulazione Generale then followed by some small initials.

internet translators have not been much help with translations like “the body was wrapped from weapons” and when adding Bti Roberti Card. bellarmino e Soc. Jesu, it translates on another translator as “The body was taken from the magazine which was rolled up. Firmin, Robert Card. Bellarmine e Soc. Jesus”
Other translators mention something about cloth “the body was made of cloth which involumtum”

My guess is that the relic consists of a piece of cloth that was touched to the body of (then) Blessed (now Saint) Robert Cardinal Bellarmine Society of Jesus (Jesuit).

Also the other bit is likely the attestation (by his initials) of the postulator of the saint’s cause. A Postulator General would be a Jesuit who acted as postulator for all the Society’s cases.

Thank you everyone. So it appears that this is then a 2nd class relic from Cardinal Robert Bellarmine. Very interesting since I have just been reading about Bellarmine and then we find this in a book. Synchronicity.

You’re right. Telum, tela, are of that set of words which mean different in their singular and plural. telum = spear, weapon. tela = that which is woven. :o
 
Ex tela qua involutum fuit Corpus:

The Body was wrapped in cloth.

tela: a type of cloth in which the threads run lengthwise in the loom.

fuit: to be or exist in

Note that ‘Corpus’, or ‘Body’ is capitalized.
