Vatican theologian and biblical scholar, Monsignor Pietro Principe, has warned that veneration of relics is running the risk of replacing authentic faith with irrational superstition.

i agree. this is one of the areas where protestants attack Catholics and more often than not, they do have valid points

millions come to take the statue of Jesus around. and many have been injured and even died from trying to get to the rope that pulls the carriage believing that doing so will grant them their wish
 
I disagree.
The way to combat superstition is education.
We have educated our children and we are blessed to have some first class relics.

IMO, B.C. beats the CCC in explaining this to young children.

agreed.

they should be concerned wiht the false theology that is running around in the CC.

false formation, bad education on the Faith, and etc. they should be more concerned with priests who are turning the CC into protestant churches.
