I’m not sure where to post this.

Where is a legitimate place to obtain third class relics? The Catholic store in my city doesn’t have the saint that I am looking for.
 
Depends on what Saint you want it to be. I have some third class relics I can give you .

When you say obtain do you mean purchase?

Canon Law forbids the sale of relics and despite what some people think it does not differenciate the class of relics.

Can. 1190 §1 It is absolutely wrong to sell sacred relics.
 
Saint Gemma Galgani? If so I well send you a picture that was touched to the first class relic of hers that I have. Send me your address by private message.
 
All I know is that when I sent a donation to certain Missioners,some time they Includle a Holy Card with a Relice thats has been touch to the Saint that I donate to… Good Luck my friend.
 
The Rosary and the Scapular of Our Lady are two treasured gifts I maintain, albeit too often insufficiently.

At the Cathedral of St. Paul the Apostle, thanks to Msgr. Jim Moroney I had the opportunity to pray before his reliquery, during the Year of St. Paul, and subsequently place my brown scapular upon the little round glass case that his relic is kept in.

I am fairly certain it is a first class relic of St. Paul the Apostle. If I remember correctly it appeared to be a bone fragment. The Cathedral has had it for a century or more (if I am not mistaken) and normally keeps it deep in the vault, wear the black vestments are hidden.

Does that make my brown scapular a 3rd class relic of the holy Apostle, even though it was seperated by few millimeters of glass? I also carry a medal of St. Paul, which I obtained in the same diocese at the Divine Mercy sanctuary in Stockbridge, on the rosary I received upon entering the Knights of Columbus some years ago.

Yes , your scapular is now a third class relic.
 
Anyone know where I might obtain a third class relic of St. Dymphna?
 
I received Communion yesterday. Doesnt that make me a relic?
 
When we say that something has touched a first class relic, do we mean come in direct contact or touch the plastic case which may hold the relic.

My Church has several dozen relics, including St. Jude, and if I were to ask, I could get access to the reliquary, but each relic is in a little glass jewel case.

Do the relics have to be removed from the plastic or glass cases which hold them? I don’t think Father would allow that.

No you do not have to remove the relics from their reliquaries.

then how come the National Shrine in the US sells prayer cards that contain a third class relic in them?
 
It costs money to but the paper and cloth to make the relics. You pay to cover the costs of what it takes to make them.
