If they can’t retrieve it, that is really unfortunate.
Pray for the person who did this…as they probably have no idea that we Catholics hold these things in esteem or why the Saints are important to us.
A relic is beautiful thing, but it’s gone now. Sad, but nothing you can do. Perhaps pray to Padre Pio that he bless both of you. He’s good that way.
