Religion in the CIA torture report

Anyone else out there almost physically sickened by this?
I don’t know what is worse, the fact that the country I am living in is torturing other human beings, or that there are people who call themselves Catholics who are defending it.
I can expect the atheist or fundamentalist Christian, worked up on false patriotism and personal Biblical interpretation, to buy into what corporate controlled media is feeding them. But Catholics are called to something higher.
Do you have any clue what you are walking into? Any clue?
You are opening the door to an evil that civilized nations around the world closed a long time ago because they saw the evil it produces. Civilizations from ancient times woke up in literal ruins once this evil is unleashed. History teaches us this.
Evil only produces more evil.
Violence, more violence.
War, more war.
You live by the sword, you die by the sword.
It doesn’t matter if you say you are ‘the good guys trying to save lives’. Once you cross this threshold, there is no turning back.
I leads to more violence, more killing, more war.
It leads to Hell.
God is a God of goodness, not evil.
Anything that is against that goodness, is against God.
This whole subject practically brings me to tears.
I BEG the Catholics on this forum, to STOP defending this.
Pick up your rosaries, pray to the Virgin.
Stop defending evil.

Right. How do you answer their objection that what was done by the CIA may have been slightly uncomfortable but it was not torture. It was really no different from being handcuffed and questioned at a police station.

On WN? I could, but I highly suspect at least one of them is a paid poster. If that is case, there is not much point in discussing it with them.

It’s not against forum rules to be a ‘paid poster’, it’s actually quite legal.
But then again so is telemarketing.
It’s certainly not a personal attack, but I admit it is off topic.
