I was wondering if anyone here knew what orders have associates? I grew in an area with a convent nearby that had an associate program for lay people. I live in Michigan and am considering something like this. thanks.

You need to contact each order and obtain information on them. What is the best way to determine which order is best for oneself?
Thanks for the information. That helps. A couple years ago, I did check into the association with the Sisters of Notre Dame. The order’s spirituality did not connect with me.You need to contact each order and obtain information on them.
Their main apostolate, the requirements to become a member, their rule, etc. Find the one that is most closely associated with you. For instance the Holy Family Institute is Pauline in nature. Our founder, Bl James Alberione followed the teachings of St Paul, the apostle to the Gentiles. Our main apostolate is spreading the gospel through the means of social communication (such as we are doing now). Most of us live our “normal” lives, working, taking care of our families, etc but our prayer lives are ordered to the Pauline family.
Hope this helps a little.

I clicked on your link and noticed that Holy Family Institute mentions married couples. I am single. Do they have anything for singles?btw,
I noticed that you are from Cleveland. The Holy Family Institute is based in Canfield and we hold our Triduum in September every year at the Shrine of our Lady of Lebanon in North Jackson.

Yes there is an institute for single men “The Gabrielites” and single women are “the Annunciation of Mary Institute” or as they are called in short form, “The Annunciationists”. They take the vows of chastity, poverty and obedience according to their state in life, as we in the Holy Family Institute do.I clicked on your link and noticed that Holy Family Institute mentions married couples. The Sisters of the Religious of the Virgin Mary (RVM) has an associate program called “RVM Associates” for the lay (both male and female). Check them out here : www.rvmonline.netI was wondering if anyone here knew what orders have associates? I grew in an area with a convent nearby that had an associate program for lay people. The Pauline family has an association for single men "The Gabrielites as well as the association for single women and the Holy Family Institute for married/widowed. If you go to the web site at vocations-holyfamily.com you can get more information. This might be common sense, but as a male if I were interested in something of that nature, I would want to associate myself with an order of monks/brothers, as opposed to a female order right? How does that work?
