I think the Carmelites and the Capuchin Friars have mission work in the Middle East. If I were to pursue a vocation with any religious order, does anybody know which ones have missions in this area of the world? I think I would want to help Christians in a place where they once held such power…that fall had to cause some injuries that need healing.

I think there are Maronite Religious Orders in Lebanon, and I know that there are Capuchins in Israel. I think there might be a monastery in Iraq, but that’s an extremely dangerous place at the moment. I’m interested myself, in pursuing a vocation in the Priesthood for the Maronite Rite (diocesan level), but we’ll see what God has in store!

I myself love the idea of being a part of something in the Holy Land and the places where the Gospel was first spread. Good luck in your search
