My 10 yo has had no religious education at all. We’ve recently started attending Mass again, and she will be making her first communion next year. I want to get her caught up on religious ed. We homeschool, so I was hoping someone could suggest a curriculuum that we could use to accomplish this. She’s very bright, way above her grade level on just about every subject.

Thanks in advance!

I would just start with the basics. I use an old Baltimore Catechism published by St. Joseph’s. It would be perfect for a 10 year old.

Why spend money? Here ya go, freebie.Use that as an outline. Fisheaters.com also has a great list, but be careful there, because everything they have is not loyal to the Church.

The best thing you can do is 1.) Make sure you follow the rules your bishop has set in regards to First Communion prep. 2.) Pray as a family, and not just Mass on Sundays. 3.) Use everyday life as a “teaching moment” for the Catholic viewpoint and grace.

And welcome back home!🙂
