I’ve never posted anything on here before, but anyone who would be willing to pray for me I would greatly appreciate it. I am discerning a call to a cloistered Carmelite monastery. I feel very strongly attracted to this place, but am burdened by a great amount of student loans. I graduated in May and am working as a teacher to relieve this debt. I know that all things work in God’s time, but sometimes my heart just burns to be with him in Carmel. Please pray that I will be a faithful witness to him in the public school system and that I will be patient as I work to pay off my debt.

Your sister in Christ,

Laura

I’ll pray for you I hope you can figure out what God wants of you

In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

Eternal Father, we thank You for the crosses that we bear knowing that each one is an opportunity to grow closer to You. We believe that all things are possible through You and that for those who love You, all things work together for good. We come together now humbly asking that You help our sister with her discernment and financial issues. If this is contrary to Your will then we ask for Your Holy Spirit to comfort her and to fill her with sufficient grace to bear this cross with an unwavering faith and endurance that brings glory to Your name.

In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
Amen

We fly to your patronage,
O holy Mother of God.
Despise not our petitions
in our necessities,
but deliver us from all dangers,
O ever-glorious and blessed Virgin.

Thank you all very much for your efficacious prayers. I have seen their fruits in my classroom through my increased patience and love for my students!

Thank you all very much for your efficacious prayers. I have seen their fruits in my classroom through my increased patience and love for my students! It is very important that I practice virtue now, rather than later, so I can make a good religious sister someday! Thank you all very much!

Hail Mary,
full of grace,
the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb,
Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

I entrust you to the loving care of the Blessed Virgin Mary. May she help you to imitate her in every virtue. I pray that she helps you to be a good teacher and Catholic.

Hail Mary…

Amen.

Hail, holy Queen, Mother of mercy,
our life, our sweetness, and our hope.
To you do we cry, poor banished children of Eve;
to you do we send up our sighs,
mourning and weeping in this valley of tears.
Turn, then, most gracious advocate,
your eyes of mercy toward us;
And after this our exile,
show unto us the blessed fruit of your womb, Jesus.
O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary. Amen.
