I am called to religious life and want to know more about orders that use the TLM. The order itself does not have to be traditional but I would prefer it to celebrate and use the TLM. The only results I find on the internet are men’s orders but I can’t find any for women. Thanks.

I think the Norbertine Canonesses of the Bethlehem Priory of St. Joseph use the TLM!

I can’t testify to the regularity or universality of celebration, but I once assisted at a public celebration of the Extraordinary Form in their priory at Tehachapi, California. This was a few years ago.

What type of spirituality are you drawn to? It wouldn’t make sense to suggest the Benedictines of Mary, for example, if you’re a Carmelte at heart.

Like I said, it doesn’t have to be all traditional, I’m ok with it being celebrated once in a while as long as it is celebrated. In the end though, it is what God wills. I’m just trying to expand my options! 😀

Why would you want to join an order that is not in full communion with the Church?

Benedictines of Mary, Queen of the Apostles in Gower, Missouri. They are the way to go.

That does not fit with what you have already said.

There is a website for those seeking vocations to women’s orders. It would be a good place to begin: https://cloisteredlife.com/

It does deal only with cloistered orders. It will not help if you want to join an order with an active apostolate.

The following article talks about six traditional religious communities and some have an active apostolate: http://www.ncregister.com/blog/jimgraves/a-glimpse-at-life-in-6-traditional-religious-communities

There is also the Daughters of Mary, Mother of Israel’s Hope which was founded by former Catholic Answers appoligiest Rosalind Moss and now known as Mother Miriam of the Lamb of God, O.S.B

There are a number of orders that can be classed as ‘traditional’ and whose canonical status is not irregular.

And?
I’m sorry if I sound a bit rude, but honestly, I’m simply tired of being punched over and over again…

You are mistaken if you think I’m punching you.

The purpose of a discussion is for people to provide alternative information.

The SSPX are canonically irregular and thus it would be better for Catholics to avoid them.

There are other religious who use the Forma extraordinaria and the Divine Office as it was prior to the Second Vatican Council who are in good standing with the Church. It would be better for someone to discern their vocation with them.

I know you’re not being agressive, believe me.
And since CAF is not 100% traditional I do understand that the SSPX is no unanimity here, I accept this fact, but I’m simply… tired of this.
I’m derailing here so, maybe it’s best for me to leave this topic.

I don’t think you’re derailing. In one post the OP mentioned doing something worse than a group in an irregular canonical situation. So, mention of SSPX-related orders is not that far off topic.

I infer you support the SSPX. I’m not sure I understand why one would choose to do that.

I’m relatively new here but have picked up this isn’t really a forum for ‘Traditional Catholicism’ but is about the traditions of the Catholic Church.

Correct. This forum was meant to discuss the traditions of the church. The official description of this forum is “Discussion of catholic traditions and customs”.

The SSPX used to be an banned topic on CAF and may still be since pretty much all SSPX threads get locked.
