For the most part there seem to be just monks and nuns in the East with very few orders akin to the numerous groups which exist in the West.

Is there anywhere one can find out more about religious orders in the East please? (A link would be nice if possible.)

Also, are there any Eastern Rite orders of particular note? Are they always of a specific rite or are there mixed orders which accept people from a variety of rites?

Thanks for the information in advance

The Syro-Malankara Church has two “native” orders - the Order of the Imitation of Christ, and the Daughters of Mary - these are organized according to the Latin model. There are also many Malankara Syrian priests and nuns in Latin orders.
