Religious vs Holy

How would you differentiate between being religious and being is holy?

Holiness is a decrease in sin and an increase in virtue. We are all called by God to be holy. Holiness is every person’s primary vocation.

To be religious is to adhere to the beliefs of your religion. One can be very religious and not very holy.

I’d only add that, when we pare things down to their essence, holiness is defined by* love*.
