I’m am so sorry to hear of your loss, Pat’sWife. You are in my prayers.

Dear Pat’s Wife. I’m so very sorry to hear of the loss you and your husband have suffered. You are both in my prayers.

I don’t know if there is much that anyone can say… that would be consoling. Except, that you did do the right thing. Your precious child was meant by God… to live. And he did. Though he was very young, when Our Lord called him. You now have a precious child, praying for you. And he is very much aware of his parents love for him.

He lived the life, that God intended him to live. And one day… he will be the first to greet you and your husband in God’s Kingdom. And thank you both, for cooperating with God… to give him the Gift of Life. Perhaps you have already done this, but I’ve heard that it helps to ease the grief a bit… if you give your child a name.

May Our dear Lord and Our Blessed Mother ease your grief and sorrow. May you both awaken each morning, to the knowledge that you did God’s Will. And may He bless you both.

Dear Pat’sWife, I am sorry to hear about your loss. A while back I posted a comment on your other thread about my grief in losing my baby to birth defects and how my consolation was in thinking that I kept her safe as long as possible. I hope that you can remember that you were a good mother to this baby and not dwell on your initial doubts about the pregnancy.
It is so hard to know how to comfort grief. I remember my priest saying that I now had a new saint watching over me–St. Katherine of Reynoldsburg. I told him I didn’t want a saint I wanted my baby.
I hope you will find comfort in prayers and support. For me the image that comforted me most was “at play in the fields of the Lord”. Whenever I meet people who have lost children, I think about my child meeting their child in heaven and they are getting to know each other and having fun together.
I pray that you and your husband will find peace.

I’m so sorry. That’s gotta be so hard especially after you went through all the emotional effort of deciding to keep the baby. Going through all that and growing extra close to your child could only have made the loss more difficult. But the same strength that led you chose to keep the baby will help you get through your time of mourning.

You are a brave momma. Miscarriage is truly one of the worst things in the world. I pray for much comfort and strength in these coming weeks. God knows the plans he has for you.
