Remember that thread about cutting off my long hair?

Welp–I did a few weeks ago…and it was eh-ok. Could hardly tell I got it cut:( …then, a few days ago, I decided to go much shorter.:eek: It is a close resemblance to Katie Holmes’ new do–remember, in that one thread I started a few months ago, how I liked her hairstyle? (Kind of like a china doll bob) Well, it’s not as short as hers, but it’s about an inch under my chin–and everyone here at work loves it! Hopefully, my dh will like it–I got it done today during my lunch hour at work.:o I really like it–I thought it was short in the salon, but it is growing on me…I think it will be very easy to take care of, and when I get home I’ll run the straightening iron through it to see how that looks.

Anyways–just updating you. I know, it’s such earth shattering news, right?😛 But, wanted to let you know the ‘do’ I settled on!

Just Wondering–did you ever gets your new do?🙂

I’ve been contemplating a big cut… my hair grows SO MUCH when I’m pregnant, and it just feels so HEAVY and THICK (and in FL with the heat coming on, I could really use something lightweight!)…

Maybe ya’ll will be my motivation to get a good cut!

exactly–the whole heavy and thick thing–I could relate. I mean, I have had shorter ‘do’s’ before, and truthfully, my hair looks healthier this way. I was always twirling it in my fingers…it was always tangled…pain to wash and dry…could never just wash and go…ugh. And even after the last cut (which was basically a long layered look) it still wasn’t what I was hoping for. GO FOR IT EM! It’s getting hot here in florida, too…so, it will be cooler!😃

hi susie–i should. we have a digital camera that has been full for several weeks, both my dh and i forgetting how to empty out the pics in it…:rolleyes: it really turned out great. I don’t know why I’m surprised–maybe because the guy who did it talks a lot (he’s awesome though) and I sit there thinking to myself…is he watching what he’s doing? haha:p But, he must have been.😉

I’m supposed to go to the salon this afternoon with a friend after work, but we’ll see. That friend is notoriously unreliable, but he knows an English-speaking stylist. I’m definitely sick and tired of my hair the way it is now. Here’s hoping I’ll have a picture for you tomorrow!

That is like my dad! He just gets frustrated at the camera, and changes a million settings before finding the delete button, and then calls me to fix it all 😛

If its an ‘Olympus’ camera, feel free to PM me for help (if wanted 😉 )
 
The best part of this haircut is the ease of styling!👍 I love love love this…before, with my longer hair…oh my gosh, it took so long to blow dry–I often air dried, but then to style, it took forever…and ended up tangly by the end of the day. I just needed a change–and for any woman out there thinking about leaving behind your long locks–try a do like Katie Holmes’ new cut…see below link…it is still very feminine, my husband loves it…and it’s just super easy!!!🙂 I can pin it to the side with a pretty barrette, something that would look a little silly with my longer hair.

Anyways…it was a good choice!🙂 👍 Have a happy easter everyone!

i took my dd to guitar lessons this morning, and her teacher’s wife said…’‘love your hair…keep it shorter!’’ so, there ya have it…and i have been told it makes me considerably younger. hey, it doesn’t get better than that, right?😃

Glad to hear everyone likes your new 'do too!

My boyfriend saw it yesterday after I posted, and he went :eek: :bigyikes: :love: :love: 👍

He was afraid that I’d get it cut short again, or dye it a crazy colour again. I actually asked for a light blonde or red, but the stylist looked at the pictures I brought and told me it would look better like this. What do you know, he knew what he was doing. (I never did find an English-speaking stylist, so we had to struggle to communicate in Korean.)

I love it, especially the colour. My hair was bleached last summer, and then dyed purple, and then covered with brown, and then I grew it out, so my hair was several shades of blah before I got it done. Once the stylist added the highlights, it became several shades of brown, blonde, and strawberry blonde. I’m so happy with it. Can you tell?

Now my boyfriend is afraid that he’ll have to beat potential suitors off me with sticks. :rolleyes: I assured him that potential suitors don’t have a chance - I already found a keeper, and I’m not giving him up. 😃
