Lately things that I did wrong 15 or 20 years ago keep popping into my memory. I can’t figure out if I should confess them, in fact I can’t even remember 100% for sure if I confessed them before… or maybe I sort of confessed them in a general way.

(There was a period around that time when I wasn’t practicing my faith or going to confession).

Is it important to bring these things to confession? I’m concerned the priest will think I’m a nut to be bringing up stuff from 20 years ago.

Bring them up the next time you are at confession - indicate you don’t remember confessing them before or not.

The priest is not going to think you are a nut.

I’d consider it as a blessing from God to realize the sins we had committed long time ago.

Yes, you should confess the sins and just let the priest know that you don’t remember if you had confessed.
