Loving God,

We lift up our intentions today on behalf of our friend Judith who is reliving a very difficult time in her life, and these memories are interferring with her daily activities. Lord, you love Judith and you want her to be joyful in this life and the next. Please help her to successfully resolve the memories and feelings associated with this very painful event. This event will never go away and should never be minimized, but please help it to be placed in the proper context for where you wish Judith to be heading in your divine plan for her life. Please send Judith compassionate and loving people and therapists to help with the resolution of this recent flashback situation so she may continue on her journey of life with the weight of this event adjusted to allow her to function and find peace and hope in her life. Lord, please hear the persistent prayers of your people for dear Judith, and make this current time a distant memory for her as you fill her life with the many blessings and the great love you have for her.

Please also help Judith to make the best choices for her health and well being going forward, O Lord.

We pray in the name of your beloved son Jesus, empowered by your Holy Spirit, who live and reign with you, one God for ever and ever.;

Amen.

Hail Mary,
full of grace,
the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb,
Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

For the healing of memories we pray dear Lord. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Judith;

Most Sincerely from one victim of rape to another my heart feels your heart.
Please know that you will be in my prayers and especially during Masses.
Yours in Christ
Chris.

Dear God of endless love,
ever caring, ever strong,
always present, always just:
You gave your only Son
to save us by the Blood of His Cross.
Gentle Jesus, shepherd of peace,
Join our anguishing souls to your own suffering
the pain of all who have been hurt
in Body, Mind, and Spirit
by those who betrayed the trust placed in them.
Hear our cries as we agonize
over the harm done to our brothers and sisters.
Breathe wisdom into our prayers,
soothe restless hearts with hope,
steady shaken spirits with faith:
Show us the way to justice and wholeness,
enlightened by truth and enfolded in your mercy.
Holy Spirit, comforter of hearts,
heal your people’s wounds
and transform our brokenness.
Grant us courage and wisdom, humility and grace,
so that we may act with justice
and find peace in you.
We ask this Healing through Christ, our Lord. Amen.

Through Christ our Lord.
Amen.

Heal our sister, Lord, and all who suffer, have suffered what she has.

Father help us to recover where injury goes beyond ordinary forgiveness and our hearts are in some way crushed, and our lives changed and devalued. Help us to find a way to forgive when we cannot smile or encounter the offending person with warmth because they have destroyed something in us.

Father please help us to forgive when we cannot forgive…and we cannot forgive because they do not understand how badly they have hurt us, and do not seek in any real way to acknowledge or try to heal the hurt they imposed on us. And even when we tried to tell them from the bottom of our heart but they would not listen, please help us to forgive.

Father help us to forgive when those who hurt our lives do not even remember how badly they have wounded us, and go on with their lives without concern, while we remain still held in some kind of time capsule with the consequences of their unfeeling and uncaring and attack.

Father please free us, free me, in forgiveness that comes from Your Son, innocent, and murdered, but forgiving.

Prayers and Intercessions

Christ, through whom his Father’s glory shines, enlightens us by his word. With love we pray to him:
– King of eternal glory, hear us.

Blessed are you – our faith comes from you and leads us to you as its fulfilment:
you have called us out of the shadows into your wonderful light.
– King of eternal glory, hear us.

You opened the eyes of the blind and made the deaf hear:
help us when we do not believe.
– King of eternal glory, hear us.

Lord, may we remain always in your love:
let us never be separated.
– King of eternal glory, hear us.

Make us resist temptation, and when troubles come, give us endurance:
but when things go well for us, may we remember to give you thanks.
– King of eternal glory, hear us.

Our Father, who art in Heaven,
hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come,
thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses
as we forgive those who trespass against us,
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.

Thank you again to everyone for the prayers. I really need them right now and appreciate them so much…

I had some really bad news on Friday, relating to the rape… I had a physical examination by a specialist, and while I knew that I was physically damaged from the rape, I didn’t realize the extent of the damage, because all these years I have avoided going to the doctor about it. In any event, the doctor informed me that I had the equivalent of a 4th degree tear and massive scar tissue from the tear not healing properly. Additionally there is damage inside… the doctor thinks I’m not capable of carrying a child to term. And, even worse, should I ever want to get married, he says I would not be capable of consummating the marriage without reconstructive surgery. As it stands now, he thinks it would be dangerous to attempt intercourse. I’ve never been in a relationship, I’m a virgin other than the rape, but I thought I still had a choice, should I want to date eventually, get married, etc…

The other piece of this is, I have thought about religious life, but considering the psychological effects of the trauma, I’m starting to think I may have a canonical impediment. So not only is marriage and children out, religious life is probably out too…

Anyhow, please continue to pray because I’m feeling pretty down about everything. 😦
Praying for you Susan…

O Lord, Holy Father, omnipotent and eternal God, I give You thanks and I bless Your holy name. I know I’m a poor miserable sinner but hear a cause that is just, pay heed to my cry, turn your ear to my prayer, no deceit is on my lips. Amen

Continued prayers for your intentions….

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

Our Father, who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy name; Thy Kingdom come; Thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with Thee. Blessed art Thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of Thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now, and at the hour of our death. Amen.

O my Jesus, forgive us our sins. Save us from the fires of Hell; lead all souls into Heaven, especially those in most need of Thy mercy. Amen.

Lord Jesus, hear my prayer, listen to my cry for help. Amen

“If God brings it to you- God will bring you through it.”

Hi Judith, I will also pray for your healing from your abuse. I am so sorry that you had to go through all that. I too read your conversion story and was impressed. I read what the doctor told you. You don’t necessarily have to give up religious life. If you can’t become a nun, you can become a consecrated single person. I ran into them up in Ohio at Catholic Familyland. They were in the Apostolic Catholic Corp and they invited me to join their group. They were and are so happy and joyful in their work for the Lord. You may want to check them out. Here is the website of a video explaining a little bit about them. It tells how the Apostolic started but the Corp is in the video. The Conikers are the founders. Gwen is now dead. The Lord blessed that couple with many grandchildren. Check it out and see if that is where the Lord is calling you to.

Here is the website: familyland.org/content/Content.aspx?CategoryID=115

If it doesn’t come up just google Catholic Familyland and consecrated singles.

I can’t possibly know what you are going through, but I pray for the Lord to heal you and help you forgive your attacker. I have a niece and nephew who are 12 and 9 who were physically abused by their dad and stepmom and have so much anger towards them. My niece who is the 12 going on 13 soon is having a hard time forgiving her dad and stepmom. She is angry at God for it all. I bet you understand all that. I don’t know how to help her except to pray for her. We will offer our family Rosary for your healing, Judith. God Bless you and may He lead you to the vocation He wants you in.

I just wanted to update all of you and say that today I am finally feeling a bit more “like myself”. Again, not that its over by any means, but things are definitely looking up. The nightmares have ceased (for now anyways) and I’ve had 2 very good nights’ sleep in a row. I have a therapist lined up now, and my priest has offered his time if I ever need someone just to listen. I am eating better too. Overall just feeling a bit better. I’ll probably be in therapy for a few months at least, but I can now see a light at the end of the tunnel. Thank you so much to all for your prayers and please continue to pray for me.

Susan, my heart goes out to you, because you are still suffering the affects of this trauma of your childhood.

I know what that’s like because I was raped when I was a virgin at 18 and again at 21. You need to have a healing, and counseling helps with this also.

I pray that your heart will be healed and that God will give you His peace.

May Our Lady comfort you in your moments of distress

I was raped at age 10, and although I’ve dealt with it somewhat with counseling, the memory has been resurfacing the past couple of weeks. This morning after I attended mass I remembered it very vividly, to the point where I almost passed out. I suppose it was a flashback. I am home now, just resting for today. I would really appreciate all of your prayers to help me through this difficult time. Thanks and God bless.
Hello Susan when that happens ponder on the crucifixtion, ponder the way of the cross it will help you…

God bless

Joann
