Removal of 1st Commandment?

I was in a recent debate about how Catholics worship idols vs they don’t worship idols. Then I was thrown the strangest piece of information. I was informed that the Catholic bible originally omitted the “5th” Commandment so that we were free to worship statues, pictures, the crucifix, i;e. all forms of idols. Then, the next day I happened to read the commandments in Leviticus (?) and the “1st” Commandment actually talks of worshipping God alone, no idol worship, etc.
#1–I can’t believe somebody even fell for this piece of information.
#2–Is it true? Did we Catholics EVER omit this commandment at any time?
