Removing obstacles between me and God

Hi,
I feel like everyone and everything in my life (with very few exceptions) is getting between me and God and in the way of me being able to do God’s will. Family, friends, doctors, therapists, even certain Catholics who reject magisterial teaching, are all just getting in the way of me being able to pursue the vocation God wants me to follow. I don’t want to go into details, but at the point in my life where I was most dedicated to practicing the faith and doing God’s will, everyone and everything just harassed, insulted, threatened and bullied me until I mentally broke down. My family and friends were either openly hostile or passively undermining my ability to participate in Church activities, to seek advice and direction from priests, to go to Mass and other sacraments freely etc.

I feel like I need to seek out an entirely different group of friends, and seek supports in my life who encourage my faith, and don’t attack it when I am serious about practicing it. I recently started going to a youth group at my parish, and hopefully I can make some good supportive Catholic friends their who are in the same age group as me.

But I have been very lax about practicing my faith, because every time I have been serious and happy about my faith or shared it with others, everyone ganged up on me, and made my life and living my faith miserable. I think the Devil hates me a great deal because I can be a good evangelist at times. People have told me that because of the way I live and the way I treat people, they have either decided to be Catholics, wanted to read the Bible, wanted to go back to Church, wanted to learn more about Jesus, etc. And it is usually at those times when I am most successful at helping people be interested in Jesus that suddenly people start giving me ****, attacking my faith, playing mind games with me, harassing me etc.

Please ask God to get rid of any attachments or relationships in my life that are keeping me apart from God and from being able to do His will and share Him with others. That is the prayer request I most want right now. I am afraid that anytime that I start living my faith joyfully and sharing it with others, the Devil goes overtime in trying to scare the **** out of me and beat me down until I mentally and spiritually collapse.

Certainly, I’ll pray for you! May God bless you and keep you, and chastise your friends and relatives who seek spiritual harm on anyone, especially you.
