Hello, I am hoping someone can help me. I have found a small image from a painting but would like to know what the complete painting looks like, is titled and who painted it. Can anyone help? Thanks and let me know. Ted

Though I am no art expert, perhaps where you found this image and the reasons why you think it is from the renaissance would be a good start to others joining the search party…

it looks like a detail from a piece from a later period but I am no expert, looks pre-raphaelite

Great Challenge. I’m racking my brain and keep coming up short. Wanted to let you know I’m still searching.

It sure looks like a close up of the Virgin Mary’s face from a painting of the Assumption, or possibly at the foot of the cross during the Crucifixion. However, there’s about 50 million paintings of the Assumption. Alternatively, it could be St. Teresa of Avila in ecstasy, or perhaps more remotely, a martyrdom painting.
