Renewal of Baptism on Easter wipe away sins?

At the Easter Sunday Mass, the priest had everyone participate in a “renewal of Baptism”. My question is, since Satan was renounced and we were all sprinkled with holy water thereafter, does this mean any sins were forgiven too?
 
The renewal of baptismal promises and the sprinkling rite do not, in and of themselves, forgive sins. It is a spiritual reminder of our baptismal calling.
