On the Feast of The Visitation, I did the Total Consecration. Then on the Feast of Our Lady of Sorrows, I renewed the Consecration, because I have a huge devotion to Our Lady of Sorrows.

Now when I was renewing my Consecration, a lot people thought I was doing it for the first time. The priest himself (a different one from the one who there around the time of my first Consecration) also spoke as though I were doing it for the first time, and expected me back next year.

I want to know, is it acceptable, to renew one’s Marian Consecration on more than one Feast Day? If not, is there anything sinful in doing it on more than one Feast Day?

Yehoiakhin,

It’s not sinful at all. Just the opposite. St. Louis Marie De Montfort and St. Maximilian Kolbe recommend constantly renewing one’s consecration (not in an OCD way, of course, but in peace, out of trust in Mary and Jesus).

Reportedly, JPII prayedthe long consecration prayer of St. Louis daily.

You could just explain to the priest if you’re concerned that he’s mistaken.

Be at peace, trusting in Jesus, living in Mary.

@YehoiakhinEx232,
There’s nothing sinful about it at all, in fact, it’s laudable, as mentioned by @patricius79.

Be at peace.

It’s wonderful to renew your consecration as often as you like. There have been years that I renewed mine two or even three times in a year for various reasons.
