Hello:
I was wondering if any of you are familiar with the infrachurch organization called Renovare that exists within Protestantism today. Their most prominent members who have also authored many books are Dallas Willard, Richard Foster, and John Ortberg. The reason that I ask is that as a former Protestant I was very much drawn into how these authors and others blended many classical spiritual teachings, most of which were Catholic, into the milieux of Protestantism. Did any of you have the similar experience that I had of realizing that this organization prepared you to accept and appreciate the fullness of the spiritual life within Catholicism? Now that I am Catholic, I am wondering how to reach out to this group. Have any of you tried? I think this group may be a fertile ground for new converts to the faith as they possess some affinity for teachings that are not typically Protestant. Thanks for your replies.
