From what I have read in all of the posts on this thread, I know that I am not alone in sinning. And that the thing to do is to confess and try to amend my life. All I can do is to try.

I am on my way to confession, please pray for me that I make a good confession and do a better job of avoiding sins.
Thanks in advance! 🙏🙏🙏

A lot of the sins I confess are sins I confess regularly. I still have some of the same sins to deal with. I guess that if I dare to, I should probably ask during my next Confession on some advise on how to stay away from those sins.

I hope your Confession went well 🙂 God bless!

Thanks Kima, I did make a good confession. I walked away feeling good. Much peace of mind Lots of joy in my heart. Thanks for your prayers. 🙏🙏🙏

If people didn’t struggle with this you would break each of the 10 commandments once and then be perfect I guess. The point is, yes, we all do this.

It is human nature to sin. As humans we sin everyday since we all are descendants of Adam and Eve the first two people who committed the first sin of disobeying God by eating from the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God

Romans 3:23

If we say that we have not sinned we make Him a liar and His word is not in us

1John 1:10

Never give up. As often as you fall you should try to rise again. Remember on the stations of the Cross, Jesus fell at least three times, but he rose again. He did that so that as often as you fall you can rise again.

One of the things I struggle with as a Catholic is repeating sins. It seems like the harder I try, the more of these same sins I commit.
Do you, my CAF brothers and sisters, struggle with this problem?
I feel like a hypocrite sometimes because I vow to avoid these sins and then fail.
I suppose all I can do is to confess, receive absolution and to keep on trying to amend my life.

Peace.

Yes, we are sinners.
Thank God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit that we have confession and absolution for our sins. AMEN

I am currently in a state of grace. I WAS a sinner, I most likely WILL BE a sinner, but no, I am currently not a sinner as a baptized person who has recently confessed.
