A question: Even if Satan and every single demon were pushed forever into the abyss, wouldn’t we still have to deal with evil here on Earth?
Yes. It is built into our firmware (the codes stored by DNA), software (memory and thought), and hardware (physical body including brain).

This is like a tightly interactive group of forces of the false self, for the purposes of my presentation. The synergy of these components, I’m guessing, will introduce destruction. It will be destructive, but it won’t be evil – as if nothing going to send anybody to hell. It might kill them or others, but it won’t send them to hell.

Now even though it won’t be evil, I would assume the Church would maintain her current teachings because I think this situation would be outside the scope of what the actual RCC would consider the “real” world, because I doubt the Church teaches it is possible for all these things to happen. So basically we’re only speculating in an imaginary world which I think is fun because lately I’ve been pondering the interactions between flesh and spirit. So all bets are off and we can make up our own world of thought for our talk.

Also, coupled with original sin, sins of the flesh and limitations on imagination and agility will continue to fuel death and destruction enough to keep the world supplied and it will pretty much look just like it does now. We will still destroy each other, we just will be sociopaths about it instead of sinners.

So, we will use the term “original error” instead of “original sin” and refer to sins at “suboptimally strategic.”

There will be no more anxiety, except those the body needs to protect itself. There won’t be any anxiety based on judgment, blame, shame, fear, or other negative spirits because there aren’t any.

How this all plays out could might be an interesting project for a simulation designer to take on. How would a world play out if you removed the evil but kept the stupidity?

I am saying that maybe the Church can’t receive fallen angels as fallen angels are spiritual beings. In addition, the Church is founded for humans, isn’t it?

I believe only God directly will or will not receive repentant fallen angels. The problem is, We have only experienced a bit of God unlike fallen angels who have seen God in probably all his might and still rejected Him.

I know the angels’ choice is irrevocable. But also nothing is impossible for God. I actually went through the same question about if Satan could recent or somehow be atoned for. I realized later this was really an expression of my desire for evil to be eradicated. Just don’t start talking to Satan or anything.

There are a couple of ways of looking at this, both leading to the same conclusion:

The fallen angels are outside of time. Their decision, despite having the complete beautification vision, is bothe final and continuous. It is not about saran’s nature, it is about what he is deciding.

Likewise, when we die, our decision and subsequent judgement will be final.

Yes Angels have free will, but since it is outside of time, their choices are always final and never changing. Our free will is intermingled with time and it’s resulting sequence of events. Not the case for angels.

Is Satan eternal? is he constrained by time as we know it? in the worlds that God and Satan do battle (probably mostly all of them?) do the words before and after make sense? i wondered if the time reference was just to explain it to us humans.

Very well put!
