In the book, people are urged to use sigils to summon demons. Sigils are a part of chaos magic.

In my Post #20, I wasn’t referring to non-Christians in the secular world, but to Christians, especially Catholics who live and work and interact in the secular world, and who profess that they DO believe in Jesus, Heaven, and Hell. If we truly believe the tenets of our faith, how could adult material—meaning off-color or lascivious to some extent—be okay?

We forget that Jesus is in our midst because He’s not visible. How many merely so-so Catholics, or even ex-Catholics, could comfortably whoop it up as usual and shove an adult—or “dirty”—pictorial into the hands of Jesus, if we could see Him two feet away from us, as we would our other friends or co-workers whom we think would enjoy a good laugh?

Wouldn’t we be stymied by seeing Him right across from us or beside us? So why aren’t we stymied by the mere knowledge that God is everywhere? Why do we need to see Him, like Thomas, before we embrace Him into every aspect of our lives?

How can we excuse material that we label as being adult?
 
But surely progressivists and unbelievers have more expertise on the relative danger of demon books for children than a few stodgy old exorcists!

That might be a definition of sorts, but there are certain, for want of a better term, ceremonies or procedures which go along with creating them, so they are not simply symbols or seals. Chaos magic, and sigils in particular, depend on synchronicity for the answers to requests or spells. It’s been 6 or 7 years since I looked into it. There are online sites dedicated to chaos magic; I found out about sigils by reading some of those sites.

I agree that chaos magic is trash, but I think sigils are a form of idolatry. I don’t think that idolatry and trash are mutually exclusive catagories.
 
Unless I’m mistaken, the book has extremely poor reviews online and even worse sales. Although I’m not happy about Walmart selling it.
