Report: Mexican man assumed American identity for 37 years

But I thought illegals couldn’t get welfare? Anyone who doesn’t know they steal identities isn’t paying attention.
 
Sell all his assets, send his a$$ packing. if he is found in the US again. jail him for 10 years then drop him in Mexico again.

The traffic in fake ID is brisk. I would dare to claim that the great majority of illegals in this country have fake ID, most of it stolen.

I’ve thought I should get one. Being able to hide from the government is nice, and increasingly necessary. Also, apparently it isn’t immoral in most people’s mind including many in the Church.

Ha! I knew a Hispanic lady who was in the business of making fake ID. I helped her with a business transaction and she offered to make me a set for free. She guaranteed that it would look exactly right; photo, lamination, weird little patterns they use, SS card, birth certificate; everything.

And the SS card would have a real SS number of a person about my age that matched the other ID.

I was tempted just for a lark, but got leery of it, and her. A couple of years later, the lady was arrested for making and selling fake ID. I don’t think she ever spent time.
 
Breaking the law isn’t nearly as bad as many people think. Now if you have assets they can seize it is a different story.
