“I ask you: 'Is it right to ‘take out’ a human life to solve a problem? What do you think? Is it right? Is it right or not?” he said in unprepared remarks.

Many in the crowd shouted “No”.

Pope Francis is using his words wisely. Instead of talking about 'a blob of tissue," he gets to the heart of the matter with an appropriate analogy.

Finally. This is the sort of clarity we need from him on every issue.

Whatever.
Sounds more like a ‘word image’ -
That wont go over too well with the mobsters

He already excommunicated the mobsters. It’s not like they don’t know where he stands.

Abortion is exactly like hiring a hit man. Was listening to this segment on Catholic Radio while driving today. You don’t want someone to live, you hire someone else to kill him/her. Why wouldn’t you agree with that? The one who needs to be punished is the abortionist who makes money for killing helpless human beings. If there weren’t thousands of abortion hitmen in the country, maybe people would have to learn to be more responsible.

No sweet talk about “just having an abortion to get rid of the problem”. Can’t be more clear what an abortion really is.

Hard to argue with that. Glad to see he isn’t beating around the bush on such a topic.

I was listening to a CD by Peter Kreeft. He recounted the story of a Dr who was sent to do vital medical work amongst a primitive tribe in Africa. They asked him many things about life in the west. When he told them that 1.5 million abortions occur each year, they refused to believe him and asked, “why would you even put so evil a thought in our heads?”. God forgive us. Truly does scripture speak where it says, “They are so wise, they have become fools.”

I think no one has the right to kill a human being even if he is still in the womb. I agree with Pope Francis.
