A local child who was killed. Please pray for her family and friends.
Brittany was a 12-year-old girl hit and killed by a vehicle on a highway at 3:30 a.m., yesterday.
Brittany was apparently walking in her pajamas on the interstate
A driver on her way to work said she couldn’t avoid hitting her, according to police.
Her mother, went to wake her up for school and she wasn’t there.
“I just don’t know why she would sneak out,” the mother said.
“I want to get it out that Brittany was loved,” her mother said. “She was 12, only 12.”

:gopray: Praying for Brittany and especially for the consolation of her mother. How horrific!

Praying for the repose of the soul of Brittany, and for her family and her friends.
I can’t seem to fathom why a 12 year old girl would be walking in pajamas and tennis shoes on a freeway in the middle of the night.😦
I found this article online but it still doesn’t give any answers.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Please say the following prayer right now to release 1,000 souls from purgatory (Approval and Recommendation signed by M. Cardinal Pahiarca, Lisbon, Portugal March 4, 1936.): Eternal Father, I offer Thee the Most Precious Blood of Thy Divine Son, Jesus, in union with the Masses said throughout the world today, for all the holy Souls in Purgatory. Amen

I know…It doesn’t answer a thing. But I do wonder if perhaps Brittany was sleep walking. My oldest son used to do that. Scared us half to death. He walked out of the house in his jammies one night and I found him asleep on the front porch.

Sleepwalking occurs most commonly in middle childhood and preadolescence, with a peak incidence in children aged 11-12 years. which fits Brittany to a “t”.

Lord God, to your mercy we owe our forgiveness and salvation. Grant that your servant Brittany who has departed this earth, may be admitted into everlasting hapiness. Father, I beg you to send your angels to her mother and other family and friends. Hold them up and give them strength, peace, and understanding. I pray this in the name of Jesus Christ. AMEN

She walked over three miles according the the news report (video) and she put on her tennis shoes before leaving. I thought sleep walking at first too but it didn’t seem likely after I saw the news report. But maybe, I’m not an expert on sleep walking. Could an episode last that long?

My son used to dress himself and leave the house…we had to change the locks on the doors so he could not get out and he was only 3/4 years old at the time. He could perform pretty complex things for being that young and asleep.

I’M sure little Brittany is with JESUS,praying for her grieving family and friends.

Dear Maggie…Keeping Brittany’s family and friends in daily prayer. May The Lord comfort and console them at this time of grief…children and even adults can do very strange things while sleepwalking - my brother used to and grew out of it. Found him asleep on the back steps in the freezing cold as a child…keeping all your intentions in prayer…

I’m not an expert, but come from a family of sleepwalkers. I have been known to ask my husband strange questions when returns home from work at night, including why he is in the ladies’ changing room at Walmart, and why he brought home all those dogs. I can carry on a conversation for a couple hours, and then remember none of it, because I was asleep.

When two of my brothers were boys, they got up in the night to use the bathroom, or so they thought. They were completely out of it, but on their feet and relieving themselves in places other than the actual bathroom.

So, I feel for this family. Praying…

Praying for Brittany’s precious soul and for solace for her family and freinds.

If I can offer a suggestion why Brittany may have been walking with her pyjames on. I have a son who used to sleepwalk and many a time I found him ready for school at 2-3-4 am. I have caught him going out the door (he was around 10-12 years of age) with his shcool bag and fully dressed and fully asleep with eyes wide open. thankfully for my son and very sadly for Brittany it is a condition which children seem to grow out of.
Lets pray for peace and love for the family left behind and also for the poor person who was driving the vehicle. This person also has to live with what has happened.

“Eternal rest grant unto Brittany OH Lord and let your light shine upon her and may she rest in your peace. Amen”.
