I’m not sure if the Mods’ll allow this, however if they will I’ll gladly post a link to a website selling reprints of the 1962 and 1958 Schott Messbuch (lay missalette in German). I would like to get one myself, but admittedly it’s a bit steep 30-39 euro - and the Euro is over a dollar.

Just post the link, it can always be removed later. 😃
That sounds pretty tempting (pun intended), however I won’t.

You can find it yourself on google though. Just search for words like “Schott” “Messbuch” “1962”. You’ll get there eventually. 😉

Well the Mods still haven’t responded…

But as to why I would like a printed German Missal - well because I am learning/know some German, and also because my ancestors came from the German French border & spoke German.

Does it have to be this Missal or will a current German one do?
I have a copy or two of the current Missal in German.
Also if you are interested perhaps you should contact the Goethe Haus in NYC or Deutsches Haus at NYU, perhaps they could help you locate a copy that is not so expensive;)

Sorry but why would the MOD’s shut this down??

Well I’d like a more traditional one - maybe even an older copy rather than a re-print…

But as to the Mods - it maybe considered advertising to post the website selling the reprinted Schott. I guess I’ll contact one privately since none of them have responded.

well 30euros is not so bad (approx. 44usd)
have you looked at a USA supplier might be cheaper?
I’m not sure about a U.S. supplier - I mean how many suppliers carry pre-vatican II latin-german missals?

As for the price - I didn’t quite know where the Euro was in comparison to USD, however you have to reckon that there’ll be a pricey shipping fee.
