Request for prayers from the Society of St. Pius X - important meeting in Rome

A prayer request from the Society of Saint Pius X:

“Dear Brothers,
On October 7, feast of our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary, victorious at
Lepanto, an important meeting of the Society of St Pius X will take
place in Albano (Rome) about some potential agreement with the Vatican or to at least evaluate the current situation. We would like to propose that on that day you say a full 15 decade Rosary or make the Way of the Cross… or both.”

Count me in. I’ve had the Society on the “front burner” of my prayer list for a long while now. Tomorrow I’ll complete a Rosary (the 3 traditional mysteries) a low Mass, and confession. Not sure if a Benediction is offered. But there is Adoration today, so thats on my “to do” list.

Count me in too. As part of our First Friday All Night Vigil, we pray the stations of the cross anyway.
 
We did the full 15-decade rosary for the intentions of the SSPX at our First Friday Vigil last night and also the Stations of the cross. We also asked for the intercession of St Pius X.

Did anyone else remember to pray?

I prayed all 15 decades yesterday for the intention of the Soceity and their talks with Rome.
 
I prayed the full rosary for them yesterday. I saw the request on Father Z’s blog.
 
Whoah! I’m lost. I thought I saw on a video from the American Superior that the meeting was October 11? At Trent had posted a link to a video that said this or did I misunderstand the man? :confused:

I didn’t do anything on the 7th thinking it was on the 11th. I got cheated. 😦

I’ll have to offer my Sunday communion retroactively. God is outside of time and space anyway. 🤷

I got all that I had promised to do, done and then some. Mass last evening was nice. A small group with an older priest that was just learning the EF Mass. He was aided by a very experienced altar boy.

And, yes, I got more than 3 Rosaries said. Plus Adoration on Thursday.

Went down with another couple who drove the 98 miles each way. Had a pleasant stop for coffee and pie on the way home.

I was hoping to go to Seattle tomorrow for the High Mass with Fr. Flood, North American District Superior, FSSP, but can’t find a ride. (my car is worn out). So I will go locally. I hear they are beginning the new music for the new translation for Advent.
 
Maybe I should have hung by this thread more often earlier,
I will offer my next rosary to the intention of the SSPX’s reunification.
 
I’m praying for full reconciliation and hope we find out something very soon.

I predict not until after Christmas. The SSPX is going to come back with more questions. The Sacred Congregation is going to say, “Let’s think about it.” By that time it will be Easter. Then they get a response out to the SSPX. The SSPX will say, “Will get back you on that” and it will be the end of summer 2012.

That’s my guess.

I’d be surprised if it lasts that long, I’m sure we’ll hear some word by or just after Christmas. Regardless they have my prayers 🙂

We’ll hear something by Christmas, but it won’t be the conclusion. I predict it will be more questions.

Brother Jr,

As they say 'All Good things come to those who wait’. As long as we hear something by Christmas, I’m happy and I may just have a party come summer 2012 if thats when things are normalised or sooner if we’re so lucky.
