Zaccheus, I love this beautiful prayer that I have in a very old prayer book of mine, where you ask God if you can spiritually adopt an unborn child that is in danger of abortion. You can then also pray for the Mother

Here it is:
“Jesus, Mary and Joseph, I love you very much. I beg you to spare the life of the unborn baby that I have spiritually adopted, who is in danger of abortion.” Amen.
Prayer of Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen
I love this prayer, and like to pray it every day for 9 months (the duration of pregnancy). Say if I start it in January, I like to ask God that I save a child that is going to be born in September, and then I keep praying for that child until September. Then after the 9 months is finished, I start praying for another child!
How beautiful it is to think that God will hear these prayers, and work to save these children! One day if we reach Heaven, we could meet the child that we saved, and find joy in their company!
I could also add that I like to alternate between praying for a male child, and then when the 9 months are finished, I change to a female child. I also like to give the child a name. Though I understand that it could be different from the name its Mother assigns, I like to think of it as the nickname that I will have for the child when we meet in Heaven

I have recorded all the “names” for these spiritually adopted children, as well as the month I started praying for them, and their birth month, so I look over them from time to time and see how old they would be now if they were born, and also pray for them and their families!
This short practice is really close to my heart. I love my spiritually adopted children dearly. My names for them are Michael, Katia, Isaac and Grace
