That’s wonderful news, CarmeliteGirl! God bless and good luck in the rest of your aspirancy: please let us know when you enter!
Thank you, Spiritu! I think I get to choose my date of entrance. If it’s still that way (I’m waiting for my superior to confirm it), I am leaning towards Oct. 1st, 2010. St. Therese played such a huge part of my discernment, so I feel it’s only right that I give her the honor on my entrance date. I also have debt I have to pay off, and I want to spend this time with my family so I can say an appropriate goodbye. 😃 Please pray that this is God’s will. I feel at peace with that date, so I hope the community does too. :blessyou:

😉 Blessings, and much joy and peace! so happy to hear you have found your home. Will be praying for you. I pray for the time I will find my home.

October 2010 - ah, so we’ll still have you with us for a while yet!

That said, it must be great to be at the stage of your vocation where everything is falling into place, and hopefully the year-and-a-bit will fly for you as you go through the final preparations. We know from your posts on this forum that your journey so far has been mostly uphill: I really hope that everything’s clear for you from this point on.

Until recently, I had no idea why so many people love Saint Therese… until I picked up an old, faded copy of her autobiography and quickly realised that it was right up there among the most inspiring and passionate books I’ve ever read. She’s lovely, and a great saint to accompany your discernment!

Live by the Will of God. Give Him your will, your heart, your mind, your strength and ask Him for His Will, His Heart, His Spirit, and His Strength. It is an exchange that you will never regret. 🙂

Oh, yes, she is a wonderful saint! I just got finished reading her autobiography for the first time about 4 months ago and loved every bit of it. I found a biography about her, and a copy of the “Last Conversations” by her sister Celine (Sister Genevieve of the Holy Face) that I can’t wait to read. 😃

If you’ve never seen the movie, “Therese”, starring Lindsay Younce and Leonardo Defilippis about St. Therese, you must watch it! I bought my copy from Target, but it can be found online as well. I watched the movie a month after I received my call to religious life, and then read the book. She introduced me to Carmel. 👍

Congratulations! I’ll remember you in tonight’s rosary! Keep us teen apologists in your prayers…😃

Little Flower, pray for us!

I am new but have been reading threads on here for a couple weeks.

This made me very happy and hopeful for my own monastic vocation.

God bless!
