I have in the course of my journey come up with about ten-fifteen objections to belief that I am afraid of confronting. Where should I go or who can I talk to to try refute them? I know there’s going to be the same rhetoric on atheists and theists sides and I want to avoid the easy answers and have a real discussion without frustrating people or having the atheists and theists participating devolve into the usual ad hominems or other various emotionally driven responses. Any advice?

There used to be an ask an apologist section but I don’t think it still exists?

I tried several priests who didn’t have answers. I’ll try to find a different one. Hope you are well Brittany!

The main Catholic Answers website has a good keyword search bringing up nicely done articles by the Apologists.

Also, Catholic Answers Live 6-8 pm east coast, 3-5 west coast time offers a call in program daily. It is on EWTN, and several other networks, or via Web podcast.

I just need like a whole hour to myself lol. Thank you for the time responding I really appreciate it!

The Web search on the main site is probably your best bet. Check the site, there is an Apologist holiness number you can call too.

Blessings,

Would you feel comfortable posting any of the questions here? I am relatively early within my renewed spiritual journey and have a hard time digesting some elements, and would probably stand to learn from the responses to your concerns.

I don’t want to draw anyone away from faith or have a post develop that frustrates people but if people are willing I definitely will!

There’s nothing new under the sun. 🙂

Why don’t you start two or three new threads at a time, so you can focus on each question individually? Unless the objections are related to each other, in which case you can group four or five or however many into a single first post.

I just really don’t want to upset people as I know it’s frustrating to see me post so often! Hope you are well!

our duty as practising Catholics is to spread the Gospel and help others in a charitable manner. Its ok to post questions on this public forum. People who are frustrated have their own issues to deal with. And the forum has its rules posted so its all good. I am learning so much from your journey. its helping me to know how others are finding their way home

Thanks for the link. I thought we’d lost that with the changeover.

Never be afraid to question.
I’m saying that as a believing and practicing Catholic.
God gave us our minds because He expects us to use them and think and ask questions…
🙂

There are several RCIA DIrector among the member ship here.
You can PM anyone at any time.
Ask them.

I’m sorry I’m very difficult! Can’t even promise I’ll end up believing but I am trying!
