Hi,

Can I ask Mass to be said for someone who suicided?

What is an appropriate amount to donate for Masses to be said.

Thanks

Peace

Yes.

That varies by geography and local custom. Sometimes the diocese has a suggested stipend. In some places it’s expected to donate more if asking for a Sunday Mass in contrast to a weekday Mass.

Here is one quick example

at my parish it’s usually around $10

and I don’t think they can refuse anyone who is unable to give.

CODE OF CANON LAW
Can. 945 §1. In accord with the approved practice of the Church, any priest celebrating or concelebrating is permitted to receive an offering to apply the Mass for a specific intention.
§2. It is recommended earnestly to priests that they celebrate Mass for the intention of the Christian faithful, especially the needy, even if they have not received an offering.
