Requesting prayers for a very close friend who has Cancer

Please pray with me for a very dear friend who has had some bad news about a very fast moving cancer. I am very saddened by this news.
All our times are in Thy hand.

All diseases come at Thy call, and go at Thy bidding.

Thou redeemest our life from destruction, and crownest us with loving kindness and tender mercies. We bless Thee, that Thou hast heard prayer, and commanded deliverance’s for our friend and Thy servant, who has been under Thine afflicting hand.

He was brought low, but Thou hast helped him . May he not only live, but declare the works of the Lord!

As Thou hast delivered his eyes from tears, his feet from falling, and his soul from death, may he daily inquire: What shall I render unto the Lord for all his benefits towards me, and resolve to offer unto Thee the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and to call upon the name of the Lord.

May we ever remember that recovery is only a reprieve and that some day we will go to our rest in the Lord. May we therefore secure the righteous path and live with eternity ever in our view.

Dear Jesus, Divine Physician and healer of the sick, we turn to you in this time of illness.
O dearest comforter of the troubled,
alleviate our worry and sorrow with your gentle love, and grant us the grace and strength to accept this burden.

Dear God, we place our worries in your hands. We place our sick under your care and humbly ask that you restore your servant to health again.
Above all, grant us the grace to acknowledge your will and know that whatever you do, you do for the love of us.

O great St. Peregrine, you have been called “The Mighty,” “The Wonder-Worker,” because of the numerous miracles which you have obtained from God for those who have had recourse to you. For so many years you bore in your own flesh this cancerous disease that destroys the very fiber of our being, and who had recourse to the source of all grace when the power of man could do no more. You were favored with the vision of Jesus coming down from His Cross to heal your affliction. Ask of God and Our Lady, the cure of the sick whom we entrust to you.

Aided in this way by your powerful intercession, we shall sing to God, now and for all eternity, a song of gratitude for His great goodness and mercy.

Prayer for a Miracle

God of all creation, you who spoke a simple command and brought forth light from
the darkness, I ask you now to send forth your miracle-working power to heal (TheHolyTrinity’s friend). You cleansed the lepers, opened the eyes of the blind and by
speaking a simple command, you empowered the crippled to rise up and walk.
You sent forth your life-giving power to all those in need, including those you raised from
the dead. I ask you to send forth your healing power into TheHolyTrinity’s friend’s body and give him the strength to fight his illness. I ask this through my Lord, Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen

Prayer to St. Anthony for Those With Cancer

Dear St. Anthony, you recognized Our Lord Jesus as the Divine Healer. In your goodness and kindness, please intercede for TheHolyTrinity’s friend, who is suffering from cancer. If it is God’s will, may the gift of healing be granted to him. Comfort him during times of unbearable pain, and ask our Lord to grant him peace and patience in suffering. May God give him the fullness of life here on earth. Through Christ Our Lord, Amen.

God of Healing Mercy,
Through Jesus Your Son You stretch out
Your hand in compassion, restoring the sinner,
healing the sick, and lifting up those bowed
down. Embrace us now in Your loving care,
especially @TheHolyTrinity’s close friend and
all others afflicted with cancer.

May You bring all those with cancer to health
in soul and body, that with joy and thanksgiving
they may praise You for Your goodness.

Almighty and merciful Father, by the power of your command, drive away from them all forms of sickness and disease. Restore strength to their body and joy to their spirit, so that in their renewed health, they may bless and serve you, now and forevermore.

For Your servants who are sick, we ask that Your blessing will give them strength to overcome their weakness through the power of patience and the comfort of hope and that with Your aid they will soon be restored to health.

We ask this through Christ our Lord.

St. Peregrine, we come to you confidently to implore your aid with God in our necessity. You were converted instantly from a worldly life by the good example of one holy person. You were cured instantaneously of cancer by God’s grace and unceasing prayer. In your gracious kindness please ask the Lord to heal us also in body, mind, and soul. May we then also imitate you in doing His work with renewed vigour and strength.

O my dearest Mother Mary, mother of Sorrows, behold me, your child, in prayer. I have come to plead for this special favour through the intercession of your faithful servant (my friend), St. Peregrine.

O sorrowful Mother, I beg you to present my petition to your Divine Son. If you will pray for me, I cannot be refused. I know, dearest mother, that you want me to seek God’s will in all things. Therefore, with childlike trust I abandon myself to God’s Holy Will concerning my request. If what I ask for should not be granted, pray that I may receive that which will be of greater benefit to my soul.
