Requesting prayers for a very close friend who has Cancer

Almighty and Everlasting God, the eternal salvation of those who believe in You, hear us on behalf of Your servants who are sick, for whom we humbly beg the help of your mercy, so that, being restored to health, they may render thanks to you in your Church.

Through Christ our Lord.

O Blood and Water, which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus as a fountain of Mercy for us, I trust in You!

Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name; Thy kingdom come; Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death, Amen.

Thou redeemest our life from destruction, and crownest us with loving kindness and tender mercies. We bless Thee, that Thou hast heard prayer, and commanded deliverance’s for our friend and Thy servant, who has been under Thine afflicting hand.

He was brought low, but Thou hast helped him . May he not only live, but declare the works of the Lord!

As Thou hast delivered his eyes from tears, his feet from falling, and his soul from death, may he daily inquire: What shall I render unto the Lord for all his benefits towards me, and resolve to offer unto Thee the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and to call upon the name of the Lord.

May we ever remember that recovery is only a reprieve and that some day we will go to our rest in the Lord. May we therefore secure the righteous path and live with eternity ever in our view.

Keeping your friend in my prayers 🙏

Dear Lord be their protector and defender in this time of trouble. Surround them with the Holy Angels,
so that they may emerge from every danger in the fullness of health and well being. Guide their life journey, so they will always walk safely together with you, in God’s protection and friendship.
Amen.

Lord, look upon them with eyes of mercy, may your healing hand rest upon them, may your lifegiving powers flow into every cell of their body and into the depths of their soul,
cleansing, purifying, restoring them, to wholeness and strength for service in your Kingdom.
