Hi there,

If you have some time, please say a prayer for me. I feel as if I want to cut out religion. Go to church, sure. Confession as well. But at the same time, I can’t give up things of the flesh. I know it’s wrong, yet I always choose it. And I know I can easily choose the good- but I choose the bad. I go to Confession often, but I’m still in a ditch. I’m about ready to throw religion out (see sentences 2 and 3) and live for the flesh. Bad I know, but I can’t shake it. I’m so… blah. Maybe someone here can relate.

Anyway, if you have some time, please say a short prayer or something (a Glory Be will work just fine :))

Thanks,
coolduude

Glory be to The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit
As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be
World without end

Amen

Have you spoken to a priest about this struggle? Do you even want to speak to one?
From your description of how you feel I think You are deceiving yourself and mocking
God. I don’t understand how you think you can live a double life, especially since
it is premeditated.

I have not spoken to a priest yet. Though I intend to ask next Confession.

Mocking God? I don’t intend to. It’s an internal conflict; a bad one.

See you around as well.

Father in Heaven,
ever-living source of all that is good,
keep coolduude faithful in serving You.
Help him to drink of Christ’s Truth,
and fill his heart with Your Love
so that coolduude may serve You in faith
and love and reach eternal life.
In the Sacrament of the Eucharist
You give coolduude the joy of sharing Your Life.
Keep him in Your presence.
Let coolduude never be separated from You
and help him to do Your Will.
Amen
