Hi all. My friend has less than 3 months to live, she was baptised a Methodist but once she left home, she never practised her faith. She hasn’t led an exemplary life, and now is dying with no friends around other than myself, a revert to the faith, who has been praying hard for her conversion for the last 2 years.
Up to now she was very closed to the idea of God, but last night when she was looking very weak, I asked her if she’d mind if my priest friend came in and had a chat with her. She accepted, and even though little progress was made, she’s agreed to talk to him again today.
So my question is, while she remains conscious and talking, what exactly needs to happen for her to be received into the Church please? The priest had to leave shortly after their chat and I don’t want to bother him with questions. I do know though that he has checked with his superiors on how to proceed, and he is very devout, so he will follow the correct protocol.
If you’ve stopped by to read my long rambling message, please join me in praying for her sincere conversion.
